Fees and Insurance
People with insurance plans with out-of-network benefits are able to submit bills for therapy to be reimbursed for part or all of the costs of their visits. You may contact your insurance company before the first session to clarify the following aspects of your specific plan:
Does your plan offer out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy (code 90834)?
Is there a deductible for out-of-network benefits, and has it already been partially or fully met?
What is the rate of reimbursement for psychotherapy?
Many clients are also able to use their insurance or employer based flexible health care spending accounts for reimbursement for therapy, which is sometimes in addition to the reimbursement from the insurance company. Contact your employer for clarification about this.
Fees are set at the end of the first session, and are paid weekly in cash or check. Sliding scale is available.
