Couple's Counseling

Some couples come into therapy to process important life decisions, such as having children, moving in together, or getting married.  Others come into therapy because they are tired of having the same arguments again and again.  My approach to couples therapy is a combination of family therapy and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.  I try to help couples by providing a place where difficult feelings can be talked about safely, providing tools for listening and improving communication, and understanding how past relationships impact the way two people relate to one another in the present day.  Couples therapy helps couples to understand and accept one another, build more intimacy, and develop a stronger sense of togetherness.
